If anything were to send me and my parents into the pricipal's office, it would be GP. it's so very hard. think it will be the FIRST English Language paper i will fail. cant imagine i actually manage to always secure 55-60 "just pass" marks with my lousy command in Eng in sec sch.
Maths i'm still targeting for C. it's a manageable paper. but being careless is my nature, so wun be hoping for too much.
CT-less today, wonder who's the new female CT.
3 papers cleared, 2 more to go~
to nyap: i cant tag in ur tag box leh, dunno why. just wanna encourage u, dun so sad lah.

tml is math. tml is MATH. TML IS MATH!
haha... get it?
it's not that i think i'd get fabulous grades or anithing near, but it's the ONLY exam paper i actually look forward to. Past experience tells me that finishing the paper confidently dun guarantee you good grades, or even a pass. lolx... anyhow anyway, i like math.
today's econs... hmm... i think i might pass afterall. MIGHT.

Sunday, June 26, 2005

my econs paper shall commence in like... less than 16 hrs.
at first i tot i was QUITE prepared for it, until i went to consult my senior about tys mcq qns and she said my concepts are weak! Have to pull up my socks after JCT.
cheers, targeting E for eons, C for maths, E for LEP and pass for geog.
(what kindda target is this?)

i always feel so insignificant in everybody's life, therefore, i often question the very meaning of my existence. really, i didn't care about anyone else except myself, my benefits, my gain, my advantage, and having to show the slightest bit of concern for someone else's circumstances will result in my emoional stress and utter distaste. haiz... that's why the self centered me feel so insignificant. i am not sensitive to others' need nor am i anxious about what's going on around me lest it's going to affect me... sob... why am i lidat?!

anyway, really sick and tired of studying under pressure or forced circumstances. how i wish studying could be more of a leisure, sth to be enjoyed and not endured, sth done to keep my spirit up, and not put me down. nevertheless, pple ard me are just so used to experiencing exam stress that they can sit down and study 10+ hours straight.

Qoutes i collated from memory. i remembered them so vividly bcos they're just so true. proudly brought to you by... Me!

wendy: You feel insignificant cos you made everyone seem so significant.

Ronan Keating: Life's like a roller coaster, you just gotta ride it.

llb: humans are forgetful. pple may be sad now, but overtime, it won't affect them anymore.
( she said this to me when everyone's still grieving over Mrs Ang's death. Dunno whether this is a positive or negetive trait. it helps heal wounds, yet at the same time made human seem hypocritical.)

Nike: Just do it!

Mr Quek: #1 Good teachers are inspired by good teachers.
#2 Girls are inconsistence(in studies)because they are too emotional.
(but i think girls are inconsistence in many areas in life too. Just like the saying goes: Man are like waffles, woman like spaghetti.)

(hopefully~ this is the state i hope i'd end up in)

Ok.... it's kind of weird, somehow i feel a tinge of sadness that a teacher is going to part and i'd probably not see him again. just this weird thought flashing across my mind, that i wish i could attend mr quek's wedding, lolxx.... exams madness has probably stripped me of my sanity. yah really... like, imagaine if llb is going to hold a wedding, i may still be able to attend. but mr quek's?! haiz... lolx.... unless he holds it in tjc like the pair of alumni who just has their's during march. okok... i think i'm reallly going mad...
cheers`

did math yesterday all the way to 3 am.
think today i had a fruitful harvest.
other than getting my doubts clarified i've made a few discoveries.
lolx..... mr quek is only 29! when emilie and i were trying to guess his age, we actually said 34.
anyway... he never fail to marvel me with his math skills. why must he be so smart?!!
And soooo nice, he actually specially made his way to school just because emilie has math qn to ask him~
hahaha.... and the last time he went to sch upon emilie's request. just to answer ONE question.
sad lah. he said young teachers like new environment, and when one gets older, he wun want to move ard so much.
how i wished he's older, so he wun be going. lolx...
quote of the day: 读书~, 是幸福的!想着mr quek, ok! (emilie)
HAPPY BELATED BDAE to E-mi-lie!
math crazy!!
i've done loads of binomial, inequlities,APGP and partial fractions. hate drawing graphs.
getting a little tired but think wun be slping much tonite cos have got to pia3 all the way since i'm going back to sch to ask mr quek maths qn. (if you have been faithfully following the past entries, you'd now why i am pia-ing ) =P
i concluded from my years of schooling experience that 3 elements have got to be present in order for one to be highly motivated in a particular subj:
#1 Good teachers
for clit, for maths, if not for chan chan, llq and mr quek (alrite, the rest i shall mention on other ocassions yah), i wun do what i'm doing today.
#2 Disasterous grades
i remembered scoring grades like 27/100, 31/100 for amaths when i was in sec 3! i was then determined to perform for amths, and spent half the holidays doing math math math... (ops... i hope my poor grades for LEP will spur me on...)
#3 The "dun think i cant do it" attitude
remembered i always want to prove to llq that i can, that i will. so i strived.
in Conclusion, hard work speaks the loudest. but these elements motivated me to work hard. JCT... here i come!

math.math.math.math.math.
it's all i could think of now.
it has toally filled and penetrated my mind.
math. more math. even more math.
i shall start practising crazily tonight.
`lurVe doing math.
Got a new blogskin. again.
It's always near exams that i yearn to do time consuming stuff like changing blog skins... I thought i need to grow up and face the world, coz it ain't the beautiful, sweet and simple utopia i used to think it was. But somehow, God planted in it people who cares. I like this new blogskin, one way.. Jesus' the way. :)
Thanks Joanne, for always being so nice, so near perfect, (at least to me) and really... i think it's a wake up call for me.

Felt that today is one of my most accomplised day, finally conquered my market structure! Had a weird dream yesterday, dreamt that i missed the plane to China in June, so my LEP immersion trip in Dec is forfeited. lolx...
think i'm quite mentally prepared that there's this possibility my parents have to see mrs lim after jct.. results are really important cos there really a stark difference in the freedom my parents permits me after my results improved dramatically in sec 4. If history is going to repeat itself and i get failure grades like those in sec 3... wonder what they'd do to me... *sigh...

abt LEP camp, it took place 3 weks ago, but i really enjoyed it alot, and it's the first camp i took part in that my grp won first prize.Although the prize mainly comprises of tidbits like SUPER RING, buscuits and some "veblen" goods like oreo, its value is beyond monetary measures. I had wonderful group members (let me try recalling: qiying, weiying, wanqi, weiling, huifang, li xuan, yuan ting, kah hwee; ops i think i forgot the last one, my apologies), and a funny instructor: yiyang. Enjoyed myself thoroughly though i slept thru half the talks(i suspect the rest slept thru 90% of them). this camp really helped me boost my confidence both as a leader and a follower, because like wad zhanting said(in hustings): a leader gotta strike a balance between leading and following. It was so much fun, so much laughter and i look forward to seeing some of them again in dec's immersion. and as usually our group, "3.8" had the highest cheering frenquency. and one last thing i HAVE to mention before closing. my members were so sweet, they'd wait until everyone's gathered b4 eating. (some other groups wouldn't care less)
it was truely a memorable camp! cheers. love grp 3.8~ :)

was surfing the net, a desperate attempt to escape from the piles of unstudied papers. was seriously considering dropping a subj, thus finding out whether this will affect my future prospect of getting a teaching scholarship. bumped into an interesting blog. i've added it to my link, for the benefit of those who would like to read it. yah... makes me feel scared about my future...

just always feel that there's so much i want to say, but i'd always feel stuck whenever i want to translate my feelings into words...
