Updates...

On looking back at luyuan 06:

Just watched the luyuan video. was poorly edited with many scenes left out. haha... couldn't help but see how amateur our performance was. heh.. but i insist, it's still the luyuan days i've enjoyed myself the most. The part about everyone who shares in one way or another the same passion and purpose, coming together to put up a performance. The late nights we've spent rehearsing. the pressure we're put under to keep up to tight shedules. the poor coordination which triggers many displeasure and upsetting moments. the sweat and tears we've shared. the personal breakthroughs we've each received. there's just too much satisfaction. which went way beyond the stage. i loved not so much the acting, not so much the stage, definitely not the part about waking up early every saturday mornings and moving the props, but really, the people, the love, the motivation from peers and the bonds built. Being a youth is so wonderful. there are no grounds we feel we cant explore. there's nothing too great that can deter us from conquering a feat. Yah. i miss those luyuan days...

On dinner outing with alybo, acg and lzt:

Finally another outing after 3 mths. here, let the pictures do the toking. :)

aiya, the sequence is all jumbled up and no tags, so go figure.
other than enjoying our food, i think what lzt might have enjoyed more is suaning me. heh.. chan puey min and quek serphy as were way late and uncontactable leaving lzt me and alybo rotting in the cafe for 1.5 hours.
haha... alybo refered me to a s2 chinese tuition. no idea whether i'd get it though. but yea, i've given it a "shoot"
and so embarassing when the coprdinator asked for my credentials, which i would proudly say A1 for chi, A2 for HCL a1 for clit, lep scholar but have to end off with "C for LEP" :( haha.... that's something i'd have to face with at least until i've enter Uni. And i suppose a leopard never change its spots, so lzt just cant stop suaning me being very chee-na and auntie. haha... even if u guys cant picture me walking down orchard, also dun have to suggest that my frequent hangout is bedok interchange kie!! haha... nice hearty chat, looking forward to the next outing. :)

On qingliugan outing.

indeed a long time since we last gathered. and finally the gathering which never seem to materialise finally came thru. It's weird how we can be so at ease with one another desipte not gathering in such a long time. i mean, we joked the way we did during the luyuan days. The same old crappy lame cold frequency.

On watching NUS play with Melissa:

Went with Melissa to watch the NUS play i think it was last last week, oh, days before qingliugan outing. and we ended our job on the same day. really enjoyed ur company, ur perspective of things in life, and the "attiude" u wear on. not AP attitude of course. hope u've come to a decision what u wanna pursue in ur future studies. :)

On watching "Pursuit of Happyness" with sis:

Sometimes i do feel that my sis is my best friend too. though she can be pretty annoying at times, but she's more often than not a pleasant company. Thanks for the many shopping trips and makan sessions, and thanks (in advance) for the many to come shopping trips and makan session. :)

on some light hearted entertainment:

a) once upon a time, there exist this mirror, which shines when people look into it and tell the truth and cracks when a lie is being told. An englishman looked into it and say:"I think we are the cleverest ppl on earth", the mirror shone. A chinese looked into it and said:"i think we are the biggest populaton on earth." and the mirror shone. A malay looked into the mirror and said: "i think.." ad it cracked.

Voted most humerous joke told during Qiu liu gan streamboat outing by limshiyun. told by chaokait.

b) a man is drowning in the sea. A big boat passed by and wantd to help him up. He said: "No thanks, God will save me." A second boat came by and wanted to save him, he said: "No thanks, God will save me." Finally, he drowned, went to heaven and sked God:"Hey God, why did u not saved me?" God replied, "I sent 2 big boats to save you but u refused to be saved."

been ages since me last wrote a decent blog.
has been so busy with work, and now finally came the short break which i'm going to pamper myself with loads of rest and good food!

on results:
i am happy with my results, though it's nowhere near fantastic. b c c b3. and b is nt lep, it's maths surprisingly. i'm looking forward to uni life~ and on the day results was released, me went with a heavy heart. was late. and ms wong looked at me solemnly, folded the slips into half and passed it to me, tapping my hand, saying with this serious look tt i did below my expectation. gave me a shock. i thought i went prepared to get the worst results, maybe fail, maybe DDD.. so i took the slip, unopened, counldn't control myself and break down in front of Xu laoShi, WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE SLIP. then in the end was so relieved that i can still enter uni and still do chinese studies. was surprised by b3 for gp and b for maths, disappointed by c for lep. and embarassed for crying in from of xulaoshi.

on last day of work:
i'm so happy that i dun have to return to work on mon, cos since taking the two jobs, i really dun even have a day devoted to myself. and waking up early every single day. Boss and colleagues are are really very nice. and i gave boss an album with his photos developed. it may be hard for me to come across such nice boss again who'd tolerate all my nonsense, mistakes and is such an easy going person who believes in give and take.

on berries:
i think kids are really fun to work with really. it's been draining but satisfying u see.for the past weeks felt really tired and sometimes dun even feel like going for work on sat, but sometimes i'm really surprised how some little gestures make my day brighter. like today a student of mine came crying with her injured leg and wanted her maid to be with her, she looked so upset and pitiful. but just a warm hug, telling her everything's going to be fine and i that dun want her to be unhappy, a little bit of playing with her and she stopped crying. she's asked me 2 to 3times randomly during past two mth's lessons: "lin lao shi, are u very happy now?" (i really was then because i love working with them) then the 2nd time she asked: "lin lao shi, u r very happy now?" and the 3rd which is today: "lin laoshi why are u so happy every week?" and i replied her "because i get to see u every week" it's a amazing job, u learn abt different kid every lesson, u learn love a different kid every week. maybe the first few lessons, u start falling in love with the sweet looking and beautiful ones, the next few, the smart and clever ones, but slowly, u'd learn love the ones whom u haven had a good impression at the beginning. they r all sweet in their innocent simple ways... and i'm so happy when teachers say that i've told an exciting story. when kids say that they like my story, when the teacher ask:"jin tian yao bu yao ting gu shi?" and the kids shout back in unison" YAO!!!!!!" hahha.... and next week i get to start teaching the K2!! would be stress i think haha... it's always stress to be the assisstant teacher for the boss of tt branch, but there's so many things things to learn at the same time.

heh... shiyun, rock on!!

The following conversations took place on Sunday, 4/3/07, before service.

Jeannette : Aileen, do u have water?
Aileen : No, didn't bring water.
Jeanette : Jo, Can u lend me some water?
Joanne : Ok, LEND ah.. (fish out her water bottle, filled with only about 2 mouthful of water left)
Shiyun : Actually i brought water, can pour some for u.

(after drinking)

Jeanette : (return bottle to Joanne ) See, u lend me your water, now i multiply it for you.

I thought this conversation is pretty interesting~
i suppose that's how God works through people to bless them.
obviously, after praying for say, financial breakthroughs, money will not suddenly drop from the sky. Neither would the figures in ur bank acc take a sudden rise.
But somehow, someone, maybe people u'd nv imagine could help,
appears and solve the problems,
and many a times, provided u with more than enough.
God's hands at work.
