A Good Book Cannot Wait

This is a fiction on teaching.

I haven't quite read works of local authors, this one kept me engaged throughout the day. In between a journey from home, green tea latte from Starbucks and fries from Mos, episodes of school life were heartily devoured.

Albeit fictional, it was candidly put forward and captured the essence of teaching life in a neighborhood school. I love the style of writing, many dialogues punctuated with cynical lines of personal judgements. Short sentences, precise use of words. The best part of it was how the protagonist handled dilemmas. The recount of his unorthodox experiments fueled by his passion, scorned by the authorities were but the most captivating plots.

A good read. Shakespare can wait, 余华can wait 莫言can wait, 苏童can wait. Our conscience, and the kids, cannot.
