So we have a department meeting with the school leaders to reflect on the results and also renew our strategies.
#1 Conditioning is required after students have taken their exams and lessons should be retained.
#2 Prelims has to be set much harder and marking much harsher to diminish complacency.
#3 Prepare students for higher difficulty questions and set them as such.
#4 Teachers should only teach graduating classes after they have gone for O levels marking.
#5 Customized consultation for small groups.
#6 Doing and marking papers WITH students so they can get immediate feedback and assessment/ comparison with others' work.
#7 Classroom management is KEY.
#8 Reward hard work to show them you care.
#9 Long term frequent practice matters more than short term intensive.
#10 Work in teams to support colleagues.
