You may or may not be reading these lines.

But i do want you to know.

Your strong values;

Your conviction about positivities:

Your mature mind;

Your nuanced personality;

Your heartwarming gestures;

Your weathered sigh;

Your beautiful scars from the past;

For the first time,

I wasn't plunging into the concept of love;

Or tearing my heart for someone else's attention;

I wasn't putting myself on a pedestal 

To be tormented with yearning but never feeling adequate;
